Should babies drink soda pop?

So, I was doing research for something else entirely and this ad came up.

Here's what is says:

How soon is too soon?

Not soon enough. Laboratory tests over the last few years have proven that babies who start drinking soda during their early formative period have a much higher chance of gaining acceptance and "fitting in" during those awkward pre-teen and teen years. So, do yourself a favor. Do your child a favor. Start them on a strict regimen of sodas and other sugary carbonated beverages right now, for a lifetime of guaranteed happiness.

How scary is this?

It's no wonder we have such a huge obesity epidemic that is growing by the day. High fructose syrup is killing us, and we willing keep putting it into our bodies. Not to mention our fondness of technology which is keeping us from being outdoors, exercising and experiencing life.

Want to do your child a favor?

Get them off the computer, away from the TV and have them take a break from texting.

Take your child outdoors, go for a walk, a hike or swimming (wear sunscreen please).

Have a picnic in the park, go the zoo, play miniature golf or go to the batting cages

Ask them what they might like to try, and try it together

If we don't take an active role in making a positive change, our future will look pretty bleak!

Just One Dollar . . . to help Khylee

I don't usually solicit donations, but in this case I definitely want to be sure and share this information. My Doula, Brandy, was a tremendous support at the birth of my son. She made everything so wonderful, and not only was she my Doula, she has now become a friend. So, when I read a post by her about a dear friend's little girl, I had to share the info.

I spoke with Brandy today and understand that little Khylee has to travel with her mother daily, over an hour each way, to receive radiation treatments. The radiation treatments are being administered in order to help stop the spread of the tumor, but there is fear that these treatments will not save this little girl's life.
